Can you dim LED panel lights?

Yes, many of our LED panel lights are dimmable, though you will need a compatible dimmable driver and dimmer switch. Check the product specification before ordering, as not every panel supports dimming.

How do you change an LED panel light?

To change an LED panel light, isolate the power supply, lower the panel from its ceiling fixing, then disconnect the existing driver before fitting the replacement. We supply the panels but do not offer installation, so we recommend that a qualified electrician carry out the work.

What is an LED panel light?

An LED panel light is a slim, flat luminaire that provides bright, uniform light, commonly recessed into suspended or grid ceilings. They are widely used in offices, retail units and commercial spaces as an energy-efficient replacement for fluorescent fittings.

Which LED panel light is best?

The best LED panel light depends on your space, ceiling type and brightness needs, with 600 x 600 panels suiting standard grid ceilings and 1200 x 600 panels covering larger areas. For demanding environments, we recommend IP-rated panels, while RGB and CCT panels offer adjustable colour and temperature.

How do you cut drop ceiling light panels?

Drop ceiling light panels are usually matched to standard grid ceilings, so cutting is rarely needed; instead, choose a panel sized to your grid module, such as 600 x 600. If you need to trim a diffuser to fit, measure carefully and use a fine-tooth blade, and we recommend that any fitting work be done by a qualified electrician.

How long do LED panel lights last?

Our LED panel lights typically last between 30,000 and 50,000 hours, which is well over a decade in normal commercial use. Actual lifespan depends on the quality of the panel and how many hours it runs each day.

How many LED panel lights do I need?

The number of LED panel lights you need depends on room size, ceiling height and required lux levels, but a typical office allows for roughly one 600 x 600 panel per 2 to 3 square metres. We offer design support to calculate the right quantity and layout for your space.

How much is an LED panel light?

Pricing varies by size, specification and quantity, with standard 600 x 600 panel costing as little as £17.46 at the lower end and larger or IP-rated panels costing over £425. Contact us for current pricing and trade or bulk discounts.

How long do LED panel lights take to install?

An experienced electrician can typically fit a recessed LED panel light in around 15 to 30 minutes once the wiring is in place. Please note that we supply the panels but do not offer installation.

Will I save money with LED lighting?

Yes, LED panel lights use significantly less energy than fluorescent or halogen alternatives and last far longer, reducing both electricity bills and maintenance costs. Many commercial customers see a return on their investment within a couple of years.
